From September 27 to 30, the Higher School of Nautical Studies in Santander hosted the 33rd International Congress of the Spanish Association of Speech Therapy, Phoniatrics, and Audiology and the Ibero-American Association of Speech Therapy. This four-day congress was held in a hybrid format.
Under the theme "Speech Therapy: Challenges in the 2030 Agenda," the congress served as a meeting point for over 200 attendees interested in the fields of speech therapy and phoniatrics.
Zulema Gancedo, Councillor for Health, emphasized the importance of this scientific event for the city, which welcomed renowned national and international speakers and experts.
The event was organized by AELFA-IF, in collaboration with the Professional College of Speech Therapists of Cantabria and the Gimbernat-Cantabria University Schools. Its main goal was to bring together academia, the scientific community, and professionals to reflect on and address the challenges facing speech therapy within the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the 2030 Agenda.
Thank you for being part of this congress! We look forward to continuing our collaboration and working towards a better future for speech therapy and global health
